Role Mission

As a Senior AI Engineer within our Core AI team, you will be responsible for developing AI-powered solutions that revolutionize code automation. You will build tools that leverage LLMs to simplify and accelerate zyme creation, enabling engineers worldwide to modernize their onboarding process.

Reporting to our Senior Founding Engineer, you will collaborate with leading experts in the zyme community, understanding their pain points and developing a product they love and use daily.

This is a rare opportunity to join a mission-driven startup at an early stage—just before we lift off. You will have a direct impact on our technology, product vision, and company culture while working on groundbreaking AI solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop AI-Powered zyme Tools

• Own the end-to-end development of zyme AI pipeline, a high-performance AI service to make zyme document creation seamless.
• Design and integrate state-of-the-art AI & LLMs into our platform to improve automation and developer experience.
• Continuously optimize our AI models to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and usability.
• Work closely with engineers and AI researchers to innovate on code transformation, breakdown, and documentation.

Lead Engineering Efforts

• Establish best practices for LLM-powered application development.
• Build and maintain scalable, containerized distributed systems.
• Drive performance optimizations to ensure low-latency AI inference.
• Improve the developer experience for AI-driven tooling, making zyme creation effortless for all engineers.

Collaborate & Grow

• Work directly with champions in the community to understand user needs.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers in AI.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including Product, AI Research, and Developer Experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
• 1+ year of recent experience building TypeScript applications.
• 1+ year of experience with Next.js and server-side rendering.
• Hands-on experience developing LLM-powered applications.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, containerized applications, and cloud architectures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Strong computer science fundamentals: programming languages, AST, data structures, and compiler theory.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale code migration and modernization projects.
• Product-minded approach with a passion for automating onboarding tasks.
• Natural problem solver: You thrive in complex technical challenges and find innovative solutions.
• Prior experience working directly with customers to deliver technical solutions.
